Abstract:
In this talk we look back at the work done in Self Access Language Learning in Hong Kong. Our starting point is a large scale study we conducted in 1995 (Gardner and Miller 1997) and the recommendations which came out of the report we wrote. There were 10 areas of interest, at that time, and we made a recommendation for the development of each area. With information from another study we have collected in the past 2 years, we now reflect on the changes that have happened in SALL in Hong Kong and invite the audience to discuss these changes with us and where we think we are now heading.
